Photography brief - A blossom tree
So I stumbled across a blossom tree and couldn't resist taking pictures of it. I angled my camera so I could get the branches/flowers and the beautiful blue sky. I think this is a nice colour contrast with the pink.

Hero
The most recent brief at university was to choose a hero, someone you admired and deserved recognition for what they have done and achieved in their lifetime. For my person I decided to look at Irena sendler. She is one of the most courageous women I have heard or read about and her tale was very heart-warming. She saved many Jewish children in her lifetime from the Polish "ghetto" Warsaw. She was captured and tortured by the Nazis but still she did not give up those children's names. She hid their names in glass jars in her backyard hoping to one day reunite them with thier parents. I found this project very interesting, especially having to depict the life of someone so brave.

Twitter Brief - University project
The latest project at Uni involves selecting a person, magazine or company from Twitter and creating illustrations based on their tweets. Which is a really cool project. For mine I choose Company magazine because I love fashion. My first tweet which I saw was:
"Oh wow! definietly one of the most stylish dogs we've seen!"
I wanted to get this message across in my illustration so I began to think who are the ultimate stylish people so I went back to old Hollywood for inspiration then made them into Fashion pooches.
Asparagus Month - University Project
So one of my recent projects at uni has been to design a poster, flyer and banner for Asparagus Month (I would like to state we got given the event randomly, I did not choose Asparagus month myself, although it is a lovely vegetable).
My poster went through quite a lot of changes through-out the project, one thing we had to keep in mind was who the audience was going to be... for mine I choose the fashion market. As they wouldn't usually be interested in asparagus month and the key was to get a new demographic liking the event.
One of my main inspirations for the posters where fashion magazines which I looked at extensively through this project.
